Early Childhood Wisdom: A Journey Through the Playgroup Year
Families of young children today face a fast-paced world of consumerism and isolation. Many of us have lost touch with the traditions and rhythms that ground our lives and connect us to nature. The Steiner playgroup offers connection and meaning, supporting both the child starting out on a social life and the new parents creating a family life.
Ebba Bodame has decades of experience in Rudolf Steiner early childhood education. Her talks, workshops, playgroups and training sessions have inspired generations of parents towards healthy and creative child raising practices, which are nourishing for children and deeply fulfilling for adults.
Meg Quinlisk has led the Inner West Steiner Playgroup in a densely populated part of Sydney, Australia, since 2011. Meg’s deep motivation comes from her desire to open a window for families into the wonders to be found in the natural world (which sometimes are a little hard to find in the city), and to hold a space for families to come together in community.
