REMEMBER, OBSERVE: SHAPE THE FUTURE - Conference RECORDINGS
At this year’s February Early Childhood Conference, Remember, Observe: Shape the Future, we honored 100 Years of Waldorf Early Childhood in North America. The conference took place in Spring Valley on February 6–8, 2026.
Our shared intention is to nurture new teachers, support young families, and, most importantly, serve today's children. We want to ignite and enliven interest in research through the third path of New Adult Learning: Creative Spiritual Research. This conference marks the culmination of our three-year cycle under the theme Creating Spaces for the Children Coming Toward Us. As we close this chapter with Remember, Observe: Shape the Future, we will explore the essential path of Creative Spiritual Research in Waldorf Early Childhood Education, deepening Steiner’s invitation for educators to become active and alive to the needs of our times and the places where we work.
In this spirit, we recall Rudolf Steiner’s four guiding principles from Discussions with Teachers, which continue to inspire our work. He reminded us that educators are people of initiative, bringing energy and purpose into their calling. They are deeply interested in the world around them and equally attentive to the unique needs of every child. They hold fast to truth, knowing that untruth can quietly undermine learning, especially in how we bring the curriculum. And above all, educators keep their work fresh and alive, cultivating a mood of soul that is healthy, open, and full of possibility (GA 295).
We are grateful to have the opportunity to share this rich offering with all of you.
