FAMILY & CAREGIVER ONLINE EVENT with Nancy Blanning and Heather Church

“I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous…” From Teacher and Child by Haim Ginott

Children ask us to see and experience the world as they do. As we strive to do so, we begin to recognize each child’s unique constellation of gifts and challenges, shaped by who they are, their family, culture, and individual ways of being.

Through careful observation and simple contemplative practices, we can become more aware of our own inner experiences while deepening our ability to notice and understand the child before asking anything of them. From this attentive and empathetic place, we can create environments that offer each child the space, rhythm, and opportunities they need to unfold in their own time and grow into who they are becoming.
